Disclaimer for Servies & Products
This disclaimer relates to Naturopathic and Emotion Release Technique (ERT) Consultations and Treatment.
As a naturopath, I provide one-on-one consultations which include thorough questioning and case history, a review of previous test results, and physical examinations (such as, but not limited to, skin, tongue and eye assessment) to help develop an understanding of your current health status. I then work with the client to develop an appropriate treatment plan to best support their health individual needs and health goals. Treatment plans may include natural remedies such as liquid herbs, flower essences, herbal creams/topicals, herbal teas/infusions, herbal vaginal pessaries/creams, supplements, neutraceuticals and nutritional compounds, as well as dietary advice and lifestyle recommendations. Treatment plans may also include downloadable electronic resources (i.e. PDF handouts, guides and e-books) to provide additional relevant health information that is in an easy to understand format which you may download for your own personal use.
My intention is to support your individual needs and work towards achieving your health and wellness goals.
My Responsibility
I am qualified as a Naturopath, with a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) and am a member of the Naturopaths and Herbalists Association of Australia (NHAA; member number 158400). This qualifies me to provide naturopathic services and dispense practitioner-only products.
In offering the services and products listed on this website, I understand I have a responsibility to keep my skills and expertise up to date with continuing professional development, researching the latest developments in my field, taking reasonable care and due diligence, remaining within my scope of practice, and committing to best practice.
Your Responsibility
In your pre-consultation form and during your consultations, I need to find out as much as I can about you, your current health, your health/medical history, family history, past and current medications and supplement use, in order to make the safest and most effective treatment plan for you. To gain this insight, I will need to ask many questions about areas such as current symptoms, past and present illnesses, different body systems and processes, mental and emotional health, environmental and lifestyle factors.
You must disclose:
What medications, supplements and other natural medicines you are taking, including hormonal and non-hormonal forms of birth control
If you are taking or have previously taken any drugs - pharmaceutical, recreational, legal or illegal
Any known allergies that you have
Any current or past medical issues or procedures
If you are currently pregnant, trying to become pregnant or are breastfeeding
This information is important so that I can understand if there are any outside influences on your body system and to mitigate any potential interactions that may occur with the natural treatments that I prescribe. I also need to know if you stop, start or make any changes (such as dose and type) to any pharmaceutical medications, supplements or herbal medicines during treatment.
I need to be informed if your situation or health status changes during the course of treatment, especially if you become pregnant, decide you want to become pregnant, discover a new symptom, develop an illness or if anything else changes since our last consultation.
You need to notify me immediately if you experience any worsening symptoms or any unpleasant or unwanted side effects or reactions after commencing each new or recurring herbal medicine liquid, supplement or other treatment. These unpleasant or unwanted side effects may include digestive disturbance, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, pain, headache, fatigue, dizziness, lethargy, hives, breathlessness, swelling or tingling of the tongue or any other body part. Reactions may indicate a sensitivity or allergy to a herb so it is your responsibility to notify me immediately so we can rectify or cease that particular treatment.
It is important you do not take any other supplements during the course of our treatment without me checking the safety and compatibility of the supplement with your current prescription. Please contact me before purchasing or taking any natural herb or nutritional supplements so I can advise if safe to take with your current prescription.
I assume that the answers and information you provide me are true and accurate. If for whatever reason you have not provided accurate information, please contact me directly and notify me. Sometimes there is a lot to remember and share, you may feel embarrassed or just simply forget so please notify me as soon as you realise that you have left anything out as it is essential for me to have all the accurate information on your health status and history.
My clients need to be aware and understand that I am not a medical practitioner and I cannot diagnose or cure any medical condition or illness. I do not claim to guarantee results even if I have had success with another client in a similar situation to theirs who’s symptoms or illness has improved. If you are seeking medical advice, please attain this from a medical professional such as a general practitioner.
Problems
Herbal and natural remedies can be great when used correctly, but they can be unsafe if they are used outside of their therapeutic dose range. Make sure to stick to the recommended dosage range for herbs, vitamins, and minerals. It's all about keeping things safe and effective, so please follow the instructions we provide.
Now, about personal issues and mental health chats – while we're here to listen and support you, it's important to know that our sessions aren't a replacement for therapy or counselling. If you're dealing with deeper issues and could use some extra support, I highly recommend reaching out to a qualified counsellor or therapist. They're pros at what they do and will likely complement your naturopathy sessions and treatment.
Important Information
I do not guarantee results or improvements in any condition or symptom. Should you commence treatment with me, you agree to take any natural treatments, dietary advice, herbal medicine and nutritional supplements at your own risk. Everyone responds slightly differently to natural medicine and there may be a chance you do not see any benefit or actually see symptoms become worse. I am not held responsible in the situation should your health condition or symptoms become worse after commencing natural treatment under my care. If symptoms do worsen, contact me to discuss and I can refer you on if required.

Online Consultations
Delivery of consultations will be online through Cliniko. You will receive an appointment link via email after booking. Prior to your initial consultation, you will be sent a screening questionnaire / intake form which you will need to fill out and email back to me at least 48 hours before your appointment. It is important that you do this, as the information you provide will determine whether I decide to proceed with the consultation. If, for your safety, I do not deem it appropriate to proceed with a consultation, I will contact you to discuss this with you and to recommend relevant referrals if appropriate. If your intake form in not completed and returned at least 48hrs before the appointment, your appointment might be cancelled.
On the day of the appointment, click the Cliniko link 5-10 minutes before the start time to make sure everything is up and running well and your camera and microphone are working.
Make sure you are in a place where you feel safe and comfortable and won’t be overheard or disturbed throughout the duration of the consultation. This will allow the consultation to flow freely and support you to feel safe disclosing any sensitive information.
During your initial consultation, I will ask lots of different questions to get a really good idea of what’s going on with your health. I may have questions regarding your health history, allergies, sleep, stress, digestive function, reflux, bloating, bowel habits, reproductive system, periods, libido, immune system, headaches, pain, muscle and joint health, circulation, skin, hair and nails, as well as anxiety/depression, mood, stress, energy levels, exercise/movement, work satisfaction and any other relevant areas that come up during the consultation.
I may also be looking at physical signs, such as your eyes with iridology, your tongue, nails, skin, movement and any other relevant areas that contribute to your full health picture.
As a naturopath, I treat the whole person and aim to uncover the root cause of any symptoms. It’s important that I gather as much information as I can, so I can provide a safe and effective treatment plan.
Initial consultations take approximately 75 minutes and follow up consultations take approximately 45 minutes.
Digital Downloads
Free and paid digital downloads will be delivered via email. Please check your spam/junk or promotions folders in case the email has accidentally ended up there. If there are any issues with the download, please contact me.
Shipping
Any prescribed products will be arranged to be delivered to you via the patient ordering systems provided by one or more of the following providers: Natural Script, Ariya Health, Vital.ly, Oborne Health Supplies, or Integria Healthcare. As each of these providers use different couriers, the estimated delivery times and costs for goods dispensed by them will vary from order to order. Please be mindful that unforeseen shipping delays may occur at any time. It is best to contact the relevant provider directly if you have any queries about your delivery.
Appointment Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, please advise me or cancel/reschedule via the cancellation link sent you via email, at least 48 hours before the appointment, so that we can cancel or reschedule the appointment. I respect your time and effort to attend an appointment, so please respect mine too.
Emba Wellness has a 48-hour cancellation policy. Any cancellations that occur 48 hours or more before the scheduled time are able to be cancelled or rescheduled at no cost to the patient.
Any cancellations that occur within the 48-hour period will result in a cancelled booking fee, which will be equal to 50% of the consultation fee for that booking. The credit card booking fee charged by our payment provider is not refundable.
Any cancellations of non-financial or bundled consultations that occur within the 48-hour period will be forfeited.
Patients who make a booking and subsequently fail to attend (and have not contacted us to cancel their appointment), will forfeit their entire consultation fee, and will not be refunded.
If your practitioner fails to attend your consultation, you will be refunded in full, and offered to reschedule for another time.
I am human and understand that sometimes unforeseeable circumstances arise which may mean we cannot commit to attending a scheduled appointment. In cases such as these I may choose to exercise discretion to depart from my usual application of a cancellation charge, however these situations will be context dependent.
Refund Policy & Consumer Guarantees
In regard to naturopathic consultations, once the service is provided, you cannot receive a refund. If you change your mind about working with me in the future, you will not receive any refund after the service has been provided, however you can decide to reschedule or cancel an appointment up to 48 hours before the scheduled time, in line with the Appointment Cancellation Policy above.
If you feel that there is any problem with any of the services or products I provide, please let me know as soon as possible. I am keen to understand what has gone wrong if you are unhappy so that I can address your concerns and try to find a mutually acceptable solution.
I take my obligations under Australian Consumer Law seriously and will do my best to address any issues that arise. However, even if there is a major problem, my liability is strictly limited to:
replacing the goods or providing the services again; or
if I am unable to do so within a reasonable time, paying the cost of having the relevant goods or services supplied to you again.
I do not offer a refund for naturopathic remedies including herbal tinctures, flower essences, teas, herbal creams or supplements. If a product that I have prescribed from one of my patient ordering system providers is no longer available when you go to purchase it, contact me and I will prescribe a substitute.
Consumer Guarantees
Minor Problem
You may receive products via postal delivery that has been arranged through one of the patient ordering system providers that Emba Wellness uses. If there is any damage to your products in transit you will need to notify the provider immediately and send photographic evidence of the damage. They will arrange a replacement for you as soon as possible at no extra cost to you.
Herbal tinctures are stored in glass bottles which are fragile and easily damaged. If you accidentally drop or break the bottle, you can order a replacement at full price plus shipping.
In the situation that I am unable to attend your scheduled consult for any reason, I will do my best to give as much notice as possible and reschedule your appointment to a mutually beneficial time. If the reason is due to myself falling ill and the illness continues for a considerable time, I will place the consult on hold for the time being until I am fit to reschedule.
If the internet cuts out during a Cliniko online consultation, I will call your phone and continue our consultation via phone call. Any time delay between contact will be added on to the total consult time so there is no loss of time.
If you have purchased or signed up for a digital download or product that you haven’t received within 24 hours, please check your email spam/junk/promotions folders in case it has accidentally ended up there. If you still can’t find it, please contact me and I will find a solution.
If a digital download or link doesn’t work or a PDF doesn’t open, please contact me and I will find a solution.
Major Problem
If an allergic reaction occurs due to taking a natural medicine I have prescribed, cease taking immediately and seek medical advice if needed. Contact me to organise an alternative remedy for you.
In the rare occurrence that a herbal medicine liquid, product or nutritional supplement is recalled and deemed unsafe, you will be contacted immediately to cease the consumption of the specific product. You will have a new bottle issued to you as soon as possible.
In the situation where a herbal medicine or supplement is faulty or suspected to be unsafe, please contact both the provider and Emba Wellness immediately to discuss possible side effects and to organise a replacement if needed.
Specific Terms of Sale
Your herbal tinctures are made specifically for you and your needs only.
I do not offer refunds for services provided or products purchased.

Jurisdiction & Dispute Resolution
Jurisdiction
Emba Wellness is located in Victoria, Australia. This agreement is subject to the governing law of Victoria. Regardless of where you live in the world, you irrevocably agree that if the dispute resolution processes fail, the courts of Victoria, and the Commonwealth of Australia, will have exclusive jurisdiction.
Negotiation
If you have any issues, concerns or complaints arising out of your use of this website, my products and services, or these terms and conditions, you and I agree to make a genuine effort to resolve the dispute through negotiation and discussion.
You are encouraged to contact me via email so that we can attempt to seek a solution.
All information exchanged during this negotiation process or any subsequent dispute resolution process, shall be regarded as “without prejudice” communications for the purpose of settlement negotiations and shall be treated as confidential by everyone involved and their representatives, unless otherwise required by law. However, evidence that is independently admissible or discoverable shall not be rendered inadmissible or non-discoverable by virtue of its use during the dispute resolution process.
Mediation
If we are unable to resolve a dispute by negotiation and discussion within 14 days, we agree to proceed to mediation with the assistance of an independent accredited mediator, seeking online dispute resolution or mediation by telephone if we are not both in the same location. The mediator is to be appointed by agreement between us or, failing agreement within twenty-one (21) days of the first notification of the dispute, the person initiating the dispute will seek the appointment of a dispute resolution professional by the President of the Law Society of Victoria or similar neutral authority. We agree to share the costs of mediation equally between us.
If we are unable to resolve a dispute by negotiation and discussion, you may access the complaints procedure offered by The ANPA here: https://anpa.asn.au/complaints/
Everyone involved in the dispute agrees that they will not publicly or privately disparage any other party or anyone associated with them, and will act in good faith to refrain from any conduct or communication which might reasonably be expected to interfere with any other party’s business or personal interests.
Litigation
It is a condition precedent to the right of either party to commence litigation other than for interlocutory relief that it has first offered to submit the dispute to mediation. Litigation is to be considered a last resort and may not be commenced until, in the opinion of the independent mediator, the potential for negotiation and mediation have been exhausted.
Further Questions or Concerns
If you have any other questions, issues or concerns about these Terms and Conditions please contact me.
